Adoptable Horses
ATTENTION:  MARL is in desperate need of hay.  They have some horses in their care who are involved in animal cruelty cases and are severely undernourished.  These horses are eating lots of hay, so any donations of hay would be appreciated.  Thank you!

If you enjoy a project, one of these guys will return your love ten-fold.   These horses cannot ever be resold or given away.  Should you be unable to keep it, the horse must be returned to MARL.   Horses are freeze-branded so sale lots can identify them and contact MARL if one shows up there.   Here are the currently available horses  who are looking for their "Forever Home."
Bay six year old Quarter Horse mare. She is very timid and needs an experienced handler, but should gentle once she is being cared for consistently.
Requirements for adopting a horse are the basics:  a barn, fenced turnout, and a companion animal.   Adoption fees are very reasonable and the shelter strives to meet the adopting family's budget.  If you are interested in adopting one of these horses, please contact  Heather at the Mississippi Animal Rescue League (601-969-1631) for more information and to set up an appointment to see the horses. A home visit is required before a horse is placed.
